Congrats and Welcome to RH e-community. We are so very excited to see that you are building a Waverly and we look forward to following your journey. This has been a really great experience and it really helped us tremendously to read various blogs, even ones that were not the same floor plan as ours. Only piece of advice we would like to share is....don't be afraid to question anything you don't understand or want to learn more about. Also, make sure you get a complete "Option List" and review with the sales rep. what is standard and what is an upgrade. And as always, reach out to the bloggers. You can always reach us via the blog or via email (houseadventure@gmail.com).
ReplyDeleteLOL...you have only begun with the options...keep us posted on your flooring selections and Guardian choices...also make sure you can a complete list of available options for the Waverly...we were given the full 21 page set for the Avalon and had to actually sign it saying we received it....others have never seen the option sheets at all.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your excellent choice of a Waverly model!
ReplyDeleteYou may find our website interesting, documenting the building of our Waverly from dirt to completion (we closed in May 2010):

YAY!!
ReplyDeleteBD is right, this is on the beginning of options. What kind of flooring and color carpet will you have? Cabinet colors? Counter tops? Color of hardware? Tile or not? Color of tile? Any upgraded carpet or carpet padding? Trim upgrades? Surround sound? Alarm? Oh the fun is just beginning!
Congrats! I can't wait to see yor final/updated options list! :) The waverly is a beautiful home!
ReplyDeleteWe have finalized the options...I "ll post the list tonight : )
ReplyDeleteThe list of options sounds fantastic...post pictures of your flooring and carpet selections if you have any...would love to see them. If you are interested, I just posted a picture of our basement fireplace that just had the stone work finished - It's the Bucks County Ledgestone like yours will be. One thing I would ask about...I have seen some with stone firplace have a wood mantel...ours has a stone mantel.
ReplyDeleteI also didn't see the fireplace blower with remote control on your list of options...that is an easy one to miss, but you might want to add it.
Thanks BD,we really didnt think about the fireplace blower with remote control...I will check on that and will also post pictures of flooring and Carpet selections.
ReplyDeleteI saw the picture of your basement fireplace, it looks really good, I am not sure if we will have stone or wood mantel.I "ll check : )
I'm about to buy a townhome in Charlottesville, VA. Do you think you could send me the upgrade price list? I'd be interested in seeing the difference considering our towns are only 1 hour away from each other.
