Pre-Construction meeting

Pre-construction meeting went well and lasted for about hour and a half. Our PM is very knowledgeable and seemed to be easy to work with.
We went over the blue prints of the house and confirmed all the selections that we have made.
All in all I am really excited for the lot to be cleared and Ground breaking to happen sometime next week...

Did anyone get the Composite Deck made from Ryan homes?

Our lot has  too many trees and we recently found out that Ryan homes just clears only 20-25 feet of trees from the morning room but if you get a deck made from them they clear the trees from the deck.

Our Sales person didnt mention this when we choose not to get the deck made from them ,that means for additional clearing we"ll have to pay ourselves : (

I wish the rep had told us this clearly when we were making our selection. I am gonna try talking to her again and see if they can still clear from the place after the deck...
Any ideas or suggestions??

Wet Bar in the Basement or not??

We are thinking of getting a Back Wet bar in the basement.Since it is a new option for Waverly and the Model near us didnt have basement and Wet bar, not sure how it would look like.

The  diagram that the sales rep gave us doesnt help much and yes a diagram LOL...

Building a Waverly

We have recently moved to Richmond and have been looking around to find a new home and finally on June 25th 2011 decided that we wanted to build a Ryan Waverly.
I had been looking at the other blogs and tried to read the blogs of other people building Ryan homes.
So I want to start this blog by thanking all the fellow bloggers for the blogs and pictures that helped us select the options we wanted for our house without getting crazy.
